The Written Format of Resume Submissions
There are three job resume formats to consider when deciding which is best in your particular case. The Chronological Resume FormatThis resume is exactly as the name suggests and in general you would list your employment in date order with the most recent being the first listed and the most distant the last. The resume should be broken into three parts 1. Your personal details. 2. Your job and employment history including details of positions held and responsibilities and achievements. 3. Your education and professional training record. The Functional Resume FormatHere you will take each of your skills in turn and under each give a further sub-division of what you have achieved. Typical sub-divisions might be: Management Professional Technical Achievements Financial Administration Information Technology Education and Training The Combination Resume Format
I have never been convinced about the wisdom of making available sample written resume format templates because I believe they stop individuals putting on their thinking caps with the result that they land up with a resume or CV that does not reflect their full potential. |
